Following Rihanna, American singer Katy Perry is set to light up the pre-wedding festivities for Anant Ambani, the son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, on a cruise in Italy.
In anticipation of their grand wedding in July, the second phase of pre-wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani, 28, and his longtime girlfriend, Radhika Merchant, 29, began earlier this week. The festivities featured a performance by the American band Backstreet Boys on a private cruise across Europe.
Numerous Bollywood celebrities were seen boarding flights to Italy to join the four-day celebration on the cruise.
According to the latest reports, Katy Perry is set to entertain audiences on an Italy-to-France cruise, performing a short set at a masquerade ball-themed event, La Vite E Un Viaggio (Life is a Journey).
It has also been reported that Mukesh Ambani is paying millions to have the ‘Dark Horse’ singer perform at the pre-wedding festivities for his younger son. An insider revealed details to a foreign publication: “They have invited 800 guests who are currently on a space-themed cruise around Europe, with stops in Barcelona and Genoa. The cruise will arrive in Cannes on Friday for the big bash at a £40 million estate. The party itself will only last five hours, but Katy will headline it, with a DJ also being flown in for top-tier entertainment. Afterward, guests will enjoy a massive fireworks display from a small fleet of ships in the Bay of Cannes.”
Additionally, the cruise is expected to feature performances by American rapper Pitbull, Latin pop star Shakira, and Indian Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa.
Earlier this year, a three-day pre-wedding celebration was held for the couple in March in a township in Jamnagar near Reliance’s main oil refinery in the western state of Gujarat, India.
