Shah Rukh Khan is set to make a grand return to cinema with ‘King’ in 2025, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and marking the film debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan. Currently in pre-production, the film promises to be an ambitious venture, with a hefty budget of Rs. 200 crores. Exclusive details reveal that Ghosh, along with Siddharth Anand, is planning a gritty action film that aims to celebrate SRK’s comeback in a spectacular manner.
“King is envisioned as a groundbreaking action film, surpassing all expectations. The team has dedicated the past year to meticulous pre-production planning to ensure excellence in every facet—from the script and scale to the action sequences. Red Chillies Entertainment is committed to maintaining its standard for world-class productions, and ‘King’ promises to uphold this tradition while marking a spectacular debut for Suhana Khan,” revealed a source to Bollywood Hungama.
Additionally, the source disclosed that Siddharth Anand is currently negotiating with top stunt directors from the West to join the ‘King’ project. “Siddharth Anand is setting his sights globally, aiming to create a worldwide action thriller alongside SRK. He is collaboratively designing stunts that blend authentic action with sophisticated VFX enhancements,” the source added.
Filming for ‘King’ is scheduled to commence in May and will span over five months, with a theatrical release planned for the latter half of 2025.
