Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan is set to fly to the U.S. urgently for eye treatment after a medical procedure in Mumbai did not go as planned. According to Indian media outlets, Khan will depart on Tuesday, July 30, to seek medical care in the U.S. to address the issue.
A source close to the ‘Dunki’ actor revealed that Khan visited a Mumbai hospital on Monday, July 29, for an eye procedure, which unfortunately did not yield the expected results. “Shah Rukh Khan is now being rushed to the USA to rectify the damage,” the insider added.
Details about the illness or the specific treatment remain unclear, and attempts to reach his manager, Pooja Dadlani, for an update were unsuccessful.
On the professional front, Khan, 58, is enjoying a well-deserved break after delivering three consecutive blockbusters last year: ‘Pathaan,’ ‘Jawan,’ and ‘Dunki.’ He is slated to begin filming Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘King,’ co-starring his daughter Suhana and Abhishek Bachchan, and has a sequel to ‘Pathaan’ and other Spy Universe films in the works.
