Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan come together after 33 years for ‘Thalaivar 170’, marking their reunion since the 1991 Hindi film ‘Hum’. Rajinikanth expresses his excitement for the collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan, taking to social media to share his sentiments.
“After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s “Thalaivar 170″ directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy! #Thalaivar170,” Rajinikanth wrote on X (Twitter).
In the snapshot, Rajinikanth sports a white shirt and a wig, flashing a smile next to Amitabh Bachchan, who rocks a colorful ensemble and large spectacles.
In response to this, Amitabh Bachchan shared on his blog, highlighting “A new project has started today, the one with Rajnikant ji .. and getting together on a professional platform, has been coming in years.”
Moreover, Amitabh Bachan took to Instagram and posted picture with Rajinikanth with caption “I am honoured and privileged to be with the Thala the Great Rajinikanth again…He hasn’t changed at all…The same simple humble down-to-earth friend despite his stratospheric greatness ”
Apart from the Instagram post, two additional images were shared: one in black and white featuring the duo standing together, and another depicting them seated at a table. During a press interaction, he disclosed that the forthcoming film promises to be a high-budget commercial spectacle with a profound message.
Lyca Productions presents ‘Thalaivar 170’, featuring a stellar cast comprising Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rakshan, and GM Soundar. Written and directed by TJ Gnanavel, with music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by SR Kathir, and editing by Philomin Raj, the film promises an enthralling cinematic experience.
