The highly anticipated sequel to “De De Pyaar De,” starring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh, is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2025. Positioned perfectly between Maharashtra Day and International Workers’ Day, the film is expected to be a crowd-pleaser. This time around, directorial duties will be handled by Anshul Sharma, with filming slated to commence in June 2024. Excitingly, Anil Kapoor has joined the project, reuniting with Devgn after their collaboration in the 2019 release “Total Dhamaal.”

Luv Ranjan has enlisted another heavyweight for his upcoming project, De De Pyaar De 2. Word on the street has it that Anil Kapoor is set to play a significant role in the film, with speculation suggesting he might step into the shoes of Ayesha’s father, adding an intriguing new layer to the family dynamics and comedic elements. Sources close to the production reveal that Kapoor was immediately drawn to the concept of DDPD 2 and readily signed on. The humor in this sequel is purportedly elevated compared to its predecessor, promising an engaging interplay between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor.

Insiders hint at a compelling clash between Kapoor’s character and Devgn’s, marking a departure from their previous on-screen collaborations. The sequel is poised to follow the comedic exploits of Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh as they navigate their way through the intricacies of winning over Rakul’s family. While there’s speculation about Tabu reprising her role from the original, the producers are maintaining a veil of secrecy around her involvement.

Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, along with Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg of Luv Films, are helming the production.
