Nearly four years have passed since Bollywood bid farewell to one of its brightest stars, Irrfan Khan. Despite his absence, his legacy continues to thrive in the hearts of his admirers. Babil Khan, his son, often shares glimpses of the late actor on his social media, keeping his memory alive. However, a recent post by Babil has sparked concern among fans.
In a now-deleted Instagram Story, Babil extended emotional support to his father’s fans, but it also left some worried about his own well-being. Just days before the anniversary of Irrfan’s passing, Babil’s post hinted at ‘going to baba,’ prompting speculation. A screenshot shared by a Reddit user captured the essence of Babil’s now-deleted message, leaving fans pondering over his state of mind.
Last night, the lead actor of “The Railway Men” took to his Instagram and shared a concerning message: ‘Sometimes I feel like giving up and going to baba’. Although the post was later deleted, it didn’t escape the notice of netizens who quickly captured screenshots and expressed their worry. This comes just days before the fourth anniversary of Irrfan’s passing. A Reddit user voiced their concern, asking about Babil’s well-being.
For those unfamiliar, Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020, after a battle with neuroendocrine tumour. He had undergone treatment in London before returning to Mumbai. Survived by his wife Sutapa Sikdar and two sons, Babil and Ayan, Irrfan left a lasting legacy. Babil marked his acting debut in “Qala” (2022), a Netflix film also starring Triptii Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, and Varun Grover.
Most recently, Babil appeared in “The Railway Men” alongside Kay Kay Menon, R. Madhavan, Divyenndu, and others. This four-part web series delves into the tragic events of the Bhopal gas tragedy. Up next, Babil will feature in Shoojit Sircar’s “The Umesh Chronicles” alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
