Kiara Advani’s Cannes Debut 2024: Leading India at Women in Cinema Gala

iara Advani is ready for her first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. She’ll be there for a special dinner hosted by the Red Sea Film Foundation, celebrating women in cinema. Vanity Fair will host the event, where six women from different countries will be honoured for their contributions to the entertainment industry.

Additionally, Variety announced that Cannes Film Festival 2024 will feature four panel discussions on global film incentives and production, scheduled for May 18, 2024, at La Plage Des Palmes. Kiara will join the panel for the Red Sea International Film Festival.

Aishwarya Rai and Aditi Rao Hydari are set to grace the Cannes Film Festival once again, representing L’Oreal as brand ambassadors. While Aishwarya is a seasoned veteran at Cannes, having made numerous appearances over the years, Aditi made her debut at the esteemed film festival in 2022. Their presence adds glamour and prestige to the event, showcasing the global reach and influence of L’Oreal as well as celebrating the diversity and talent of Indian cinema on the international level.

The Cannes Film Festival kicks off on Tuesday evening with the highly anticipated world premiere of Quentin Dupieux’s “The Second Act” (Le Deuxieme Acte), featuring a star-studded cast including Lea Seydoux, Vincent Lindon, Louis Garrel, and Raphael Quenard.

Kiara Advani is gearing up to venture into the action genre with “Don 3.” Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the movie will feature Ranveer Singh in the lead role alongside her. Speaking to ABP News, Kiara revealed that “Don 3” marks her debut in action films. She expressed her deliberate decision to take on this project to break away from her current image in the eyes of the audience.

I think this was a conscious decision. I wanted to do something different. I wanted to change it up for myself. This was one genre I was longing to get myself to do, change the vibe, change the way I have been perceived so far. That’s what is exciting, right? As an actor, you are constantly stepping into different characters and making the world believe that this is what you are. There will be a lot of prep for the film (Don 3). I have got time to do that and I am very excited. I have never done an action movie. Now is my time to do some action,” Kiara expressed.
