Parineeti Chopra Shatters Nepotism Claims: Rejects Riding Priyanka Chopra’s Fame

Parineeti Chopra addresses favoritism in Bollywood, highlighting the importance of personal effort in sustaining success beyond initial opportunities.

Parineeti Chopra, known for her stellar performances in Bollywood hits like Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Ishaqzaade, has experienced both highs and lows in her career. Despite facing setbacks at the box office, she maintains that her cousin Priyanka Chopra’s fame did not unfairly boost her career.

Speaking to Raj Shamani, Parineeti said, “If being related to Priyanka Chopra could’ve helped my career, then I wouldn’t have had any flops in my career. I’ve seen such lows in the last 10 years.”

This statement sheds light on the fact that success in Bollywood isn’t guaranteed by connections alone. Parineeti’s candor in discussing her setbacks reflects an often-overlooked truth about the industry- every actor faces their share of challenges, regardless of their background.

Parineeti addressed nepotism and said, “Every person who has had some association in the industry is actually under a lot of pressure. You might get your first chance, first audition, first meeting, but after that, you’re on your own and it’s more difficult to prove yourself. The comparisons will never end.

Parineeti Chopra showcased her versatility once again in the recently released film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila.’ Portraying the role of the late Punjabi singer in this musical biopic, she has garnered acclaim for her powerful performance. Now streaming on Netflix, the movie has captivated audiences with its compelling storytelling and stellar cast.
